Marriage is a legally and socially sanctioned union, usually between a man and a woman, called spouses, who establishes rights and obligation between them as well as the children and their in-laws.
Marriage and family are key structure in most societies. Marriage is what creates a family, and families are the most basic social units upon which society is built.
Family comprises the husband, wife and their child(ren) living in a common environment, but there are deviations from this model where there could be a single parent household or union of same sex without offspring.
Our reference in this blog is a family whose either spouses are away due to some reason or the other. Should they be considered as families too?
